Courses de charrettes, drogues et agressions à Touba : La ferme mise en garde de Cheikh Bassirou Abdou Khadr
On the recommendation of the Mouride Caliph General, Serigne Mountakha Mbacké, his spokesperson, Serigne Bassirou Mbacké Abdou Khadr, addressed the press this Friday in the presence of the Special Commissioner of Touba, the Commander of the Gendarmerie, and the Sub-Prefect of Ndame. He urged state authorities to put an end to horse-drawn cart races, which have led to drug-fueled assaults.
“Mr. Sub-Prefect, Serigne Mountakha has given you the green light to put an end to this practice. It is the State’s responsibility to ensure respect for the laws. We urge the Administration to ensure the implementation of the Khalifa’s Ndiguël. The perpetrators of these acts, sometimes in a state of intoxication, commit thefts and burglaries of shops,” declared Cheikh Bass.
