Crouz Uasz : Les travailleurs en colère, donnent un ultimatum de 48 heures pour le paiement de leurs salaires
Workers at the Regional Center for University and Social Services (CROUZ) at Assane Seck University in Ziguinchor are angry. They are strongly denouncing the non-payment of their salaries and demanding immediate regularization. "It's the 11th and the workers still haven't received their salaries. This is an unacceptable situation. The conflict between the Accounting and Paying Officer and management doesn't concern us. Our fight is to receive our salaries," declared Landing Goudiaby, a staff representative.
The workers refuse to be held hostage by administrative disputes that are not their responsibility. They remind everyone that they are fathers and mothers, dedicated employees who cannot go home empty-handed at the end of the month. Faced with what they describe as management's lack of will, the union has issued an ultimatum: if salaries are not paid within 48 hours, a radical action plan will be launched. In a formal appeal, SYNTES directly calls upon the President of the Republic to put an end to what it considers a blatant injustice.
Staff representatives are demanding that management assume its responsibilities and honor its commitments to those who build the university public service every day. "Management must pay our salaries, as it is our right," concludes Landing Goudiaby, promising that the mobilization will not weaken until the workers' demands are met.
