Magal de Serigne Abdoul Khadr : Touba célèbre son quatrième khalife général ce vendredi
The holy city of Touba celebrates this Friday the Magal dedicated to Serigne Abdoul Khadr Mbacké, the fourth Caliph General of the Mouride brotherhood. This major religious event brings together faithful from Senegal and the diaspora to pay homage to this prominent figure of Mouridism.
The eldest son of Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba, Serigne Abdoul Khadr Mbacké led the Mouride community from 1989 to 1990. Despite the brevity of his caliphate, he left the memory of a man of knowledge, piety and devotion to the work of Serigne Touba.
Through Quran recitation sessions, religious lectures and prayers, the disciples magnify the spiritual legacy of the one whom many nicknamed the "Imam of Imams".
