Mbacké: The "PAS-PAS" movement presents its political ambitions and opens its headquarters

Mbacké : le mouvement « PAS-PAS » présente son ambition politique et ouvre son siège

The "PAS-PAS" movement held a press conference yesterday in Mbacké to present its political ambitions to the Senegalese people. In a statement read by its coordinator, Bassirou Séne, the movement also announced the opening of its headquarters, which it intends to be "a place for work, listening, and meeting."

At the heart of the speech was a conviction: "Senegal can progress further." The coordinator advocated for progress that would allow people to earn a better living, access better healthcare, learn more effectively, and live better within their country, while simultaneously strengthening justice, culture, and the quality of institutions. Echoing the motto "Partner of all, vassal of none," he championed collective decision-making based on work, knowledge, and responsibility.

Bassirou Séne acknowledged that no movement or government can solve all of the country's problems alone. He called for the involvement of the state, local communities, citizens, women, youth, workers, farmers, artisans, entrepreneurs, people living with disabilities, and the diaspora.

In terms of political practice, "PAS-PAS" views politics as a service, defending its positions firmly while respecting its opponents, and recognizing what works, correcting what needs correcting, and innovating when necessary. The movement relies on its framework to develop its program, with input from its commissions and progress workshops.

"We are not here to sell you a catalogue of promises," insisted the coordinator, who promised work whose results can be discussed and evaluated.

Based in the Mbacké department, the movement cited women's empowerment, income protection, food quality, and environmental preservation among its priorities. Bassirou Séne invited those who share this ambition to contribute ideas, skills, and local knowledge.
