Supporters détenus au Maroc : Le geste fort de la SNR pour soulager les familles avant la Korité !
As part of the national solidarity effort launched by the Senegalese government, the National Debt Recovery Company (SNR) provided financial support on Monday, March 16, 2026, to the families of the 18 Senegalese football supporters detained in Morocco. These supporters have been imprisoned since January 18, following incidents that occurred during the final of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
A total of 1.8 million FCFA was allocated to support the families of the fans. The handover ceremony took place at the SNR headquarters, in the presence of the families and company staff. Each family received an allowance of 100,000 FCFA.
According to the Director General of SNR, Mr. Babacar Ndiaye, this gesture aims to demonstrate concrete support for households going through a particularly difficult ordeal.
"As Korité approaches, we humbly deemed it necessary to provide relief to these families," he said.
Mr. Ndiaye also reaffirmed SNR's commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and its unwavering commitment to the community.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the families' representative, El Hadj Doudou Ba, warmly thanked the Director General for this invaluable support. He also commended the Senegalese government for its ongoing efforts since the beginning of this case, while offering prayers for the swift return of their loved ones to the country.
