A tragedy occurred early Wednesday morning, August 12, 2026, at the BouBess market in the Wakhinane Nimzatt district, where a man lost his life after being stabbed. The main suspect is actively being sought by law enforcement.
It was 6:45 a.m. when the Wakhinane Nimzatt police station was alerted to the discovery of a body at the scene. A team dispatched to the location identified the victim as Sakher Diouf, 25 years old, unemployed, and residing in Gadaye. Initial findings revealed a deep wound to the chest, according to Seneweb sources.
According to information gathered at the scene, the victim had a confrontation with B. NIANG, a cart driver known as "Mbaye Délégué" and residing in Bakhdad. NIANG, armed with two knives, allegedly inflicted the fatal blows following a heated verbal exchange between the two men.
Immediately after the tragedy occurred, the suspect fled, escaping the police search for the time being.
The lifeless body of Sakher Diouf was transported by firefighters to the morgue at King Baudouin Hospital, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. The Public Prosecutor at the Pikine-Guédiawaye High Court has been informed of the case, and an investigation has been opened to clarify the circumstances of this murder.
