Guinée : Décès de Mgr David Gomez, ancien vice-président du Conseil national de transition (CNT) de 2010
The Anglican Church in Guinea is in mourning. Its former bishop, Monsignor Albert David Gomez, died yesterday afternoon, Monday, September 7, 2026, in Dakar, Senegal.
Bishop Gomez was deeply involved in the political and religious life of Guinea. In particular, he served as First Vice-President of the National Transitional Council (CNT) in 2010. This body's main missions were to draft a new Constitution, revise the Electoral Code, and prepare for the democratic presidential election held that same year. It was headed by Rabiatou Serah Diallo.
Monsignor Albert David Gomez also worked to resolve several socio-political crises in Guinea.
