Mali : Le lithium vers des lendemains qui chantent
Malian Minister of Mines, Professor Amadou Keita, addressed the lithium situation in the country during his press briefing yesterday, Thursday, October 22. According to him, the Bougouni mine, inaugurated on November 3, 2025, shipped its first cargo on December 1, 2025, and produced 53,195 tons of spodumene concentrate from January to June 2026. The first mine, Goulamina, has been exporting lithium since June 2025.
Bougouni and Goulamina should "bring us towards a production capacity of 590,000 tons of spodumene concentrate," declared Professor Keita. In other words, Malian lithium has a bright future.
