The Ziguinchor Academy Inspectorate has published the results of the first group of the Technical Education Baccalaureate, 2026 session. Of the 72 registered, 71 actually sat for the exam, including 19 boys and 52 girls.
At the end of the exams, 26 candidates automatically received their diplomas, representing an overall success rate of 36.62%. Boys stood out with 11 passing out of 19, representing 57.89%, compared to 15 passing out of 52 girls, or 28.85%.
Furthermore, 30 candidates (4 boys and 26 girls) were declared eligible for the second group. They will attempt to confirm their admission during the resit exams, offering a second chance to a majority of girls to join the list of admitted students.
The distribution by center highlights contrasting results.
At Collège Saint Charles Lwanga (CSCL, Jury 1452): 12 admitted out of 30 candidates, i.e. 40%.
At the Émile Badiane Agricultural Technical High School (LTAEB): 14 admitted out of 41 candidates, i.e. 34.15%.
Regarding the awards, only four candidates received a "Passable" grade, equally divided between two boys and two girls. No "Good" or "Very Good" grades were recorded.
With the 30 eligible candidates still in contention, the final results of the 2026 technical Baccalaureate in the Ziguinchor Academy could change significantly in the coming days, reinforcing the hope of an improvement in the overall success rate.
