Ukraine: Poutine a reçu "avec compréhension" des propositions de Trump, dit le Kremlin
Russian President Vladimir Putin "welcomed with understanding" American proposals for "de-escalation" in Ukraine presented during his phone call with his counterpart Donald Trump on Friday, the Kremlin said Saturday, as quoted by Russian news agencies.
"Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed with understanding certain proposals from the American side for measures aimed at de-escalation," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was quoted as saying by the TASS and Ria Novosti news agencies.
He did not elaborate further on the nature of these proposals, but indicated that a "large part" of the discussion between the two leaders focused on the issue of ending the conflict.

At the same time, the US president announced on Friday that he had negotiated the delivery of massive quantities of Russian diesel to the American and global markets, lifting sanctions against Moscow to do so and provoking anger in Kyiv.
The Ukrainian president denounced in the evening a "disgraceful" and "weak" decision by Washington, which will have the consequence of allowing Moscow to continue financing its offensive in Ukraine.
