The Prime Minister took part this Sunday at Fann Hospital in the ceremony for the removal of the body of the illustrious writer Cheikh Hamidou Kane, who died on October 4, 2026 in Dakar, at the age of 98.

At the head of a government delegation, Ahmadou Alhaminou M. Lo conveyed to the family of the deceased the condolences of the President of the Republic and of the Nation.

The Prime Minister paid tribute to the memory of the author of "Ambiguous Adventure", a major work of African literature, whose thought and legacy continue to inspire several generations of readers and intellectuals.

Through this tribute, the government paid homage to the memory of a great servant of the State and an emblematic figure of the intellectual and cultural life of Senegal.
