The rift between President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Ousmane Sonko should not, according to Thierno Bocoum, be used to erase the shared responsibilities of the two former allies in power. The president of the AGIR – Les Leaders party denounces an attempt at "political whitewashing" and criticizes the use of the National Assembly in the context of this new confrontation.

"They were together to ensure that the President did not leave the High Council of the Judiciary, even though this reform had been promised. They were together to ignore the calls for applications for leadership positions, which were clearly included in their program. They had promised to repeal the amnesty law and ultimately left it as is," said Thierno Bocoum in a statement received by Seneweb.

The former MP also addressed the amnesty law. He stated that the repeal of this law was among the announced commitments, but that it was ultimately left unchanged.

For the politician, the change in attitude observed since the split is particularly significant. He believes that those who had refrained from carrying out certain reforms when they governed together are now displaying "spectacular zeal" for transformations they would have had ample time to initiate.

"They shared the political funds without a peep, even though the reform to regulate them only required a majority in the National Assembly, a majority they obtained a few months after their installation. Those who had forbidden themselves any reform while Sonko was with Diomaye are showing spectacular zeal for reforms that they had plenty of time to initiate and carry out," he said.

Beyond the differences between the two former allies, Thierno Bocoum is primarily concerned about the functioning of the parliamentary institution. He believes that the National Assembly should not become a stage for settling political scores.

"The National Assembly is an institution of the Republic that deserves better than settling of scores, posturing and staging of a break that cannot erase shared responsibilities," argues Mr. Bocoum.

Thierno Bocoum il est mort POLITIQUEMENT, il a raté le train et il n'as plus d'avenir politique.... , tous ces autres camarades de parti REWMI sont soit avec Diomaye soit avec Sonko ,,mais lui il est hautain, orgueilleux, haineux c'est la raison de son manque de courage politique pour dire la vérité, ou qu' elle soit !!
NB entre Sonko et Diomaye Liilaa Yallah Doogale, en 2029 inchallah sonko sera président de la république pour 10 ans (2 mandats )

Au lieu de se focaliser sur le Pastef, qui n'est plus aux commandes des affaires du Sénégal, l'opposition ferait mieux de contester la gestion, par le président, des questions économiques et sociales du pays ; le coût de la vie devient insupportable et le pays est envahi par des hordes d'étrangers qui imposent leur comportement incivil à travers leur manière d'occuper l'espace public et les commerces de proximité le tout sans aucune intervention des autorités étatiques, tandis que l'opposition reste les bras croisés et laisse la situation se dégrader.
