Mbacké: DER/FJ strengthens its ties with local economic stakeholders

On Monday, September 14, 2026, in Mbacké, the DER/FJ launched its regional information, awareness-raising, and support program promotion tour. Led by the Director General, Dr. Abdoulaye Niane, this tour, scheduled from September 14 to 18, will visit nine localities with one objective: to bring financing mechanisms closer to entrepreneurs and adapt support to the realities of each region.

Chaired by the Prefect of Mbacké, Mr. Khadim Hann, the first stage of this tour allowed the General Delegate Dr. Abdoulaye Niane to present his vision and ambitions for the people, in line with the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye.

In Mbacké, a response adapted to local realities

Through this tour, the DER/FJ intends to take a further step in its community outreach. In Mbacké, this approach is reflected in particular by special attention paid to the "Domou Daara," identified as important players in local economic life.

The DER/FJ therefore plans to promote their organization into cooperatives, in order to facilitate their access to structuring financing and to better support the development of their economic activities.

Over 300 million FCFA in Nano-Credit in two months

Nano-credit plays a central role in this new dynamic. Since Dr. Abdoulaye Niane took over as head of the DER/FJ two months ago, more than 300 million FCFA has been financed in the Mbacké department through this mechanism.

This dynamic should intensify in the coming months, with the desire of the DER/FJ to strengthen access to financing for entrepreneurs and economic actors in the territory interested in Nano-credit.

The Nano-Credit umbrella organization in Mbacké is also among the top performers. It has disbursed over 7 billion FCFA in financing to date, with a good repayment rate. This performance was praised by the Prefect, who urged the beneficiaries to continue their efforts and maintain this responsible approach.

BE-YES: New youth recruits

The Mbacké stage was also marked by the enrollment of youth GIEs for new funding under the BE-YES Program.

Through this program, the DER/FJ pursues its ambition to strengthen the economic inclusion of young people by facilitating their access to financing, but also to the support necessary for the sustainable development of their activities.

A tour that gets as close as possible to the territories

After Mbacké, the DER/FJ delegation will continue its mission in the other departments.

The program includes: information and awareness sessions, meetings with entrepreneurs and beneficiaries, exchanges with umbrella organizations and professional organizations, enrollment of new beneficiaries and testimonials on the impact of the financing.
