Trafic de crack à la Gueule Tapée : Deux dealers arrêtés par la BR de Faidherbe
In the fight against crime and to curb the rising tide of insecurity in Dakar, the Faidherbe research brigade conducted an operation on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, in the Gueule Tapée area. The intervention targeted an alleyway known as "Sans loi" (Lawless), an area receiving particular attention from investigators due to intelligence related to drug trafficking, Seneweb learned from Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye.
Led by plainclothes gendarmes based on information gathered, the operation resulted in the arrest of two individuals actively sought for their alleged involvement in the distribution of hard drugs in several neighborhoods of Dakar.
50g of crack seized
A search of one of the suspects' homes led police to seize 50 grams of crack cocaine. According to information gathered, this network supplied several drug-selling locations in the capital.
The two suspects were taken into custody at the Dakar BR for further investigation.
