Trafic présumé d’ecstasy à Tivaouane : Un pompiste de 24 ans devant le tribunal
Arrested in Tivaouane in possession of ecstasy pills, 24-year-old gas station attendant Mr. Seck claimed he bought the drug to combat fatigue. He appeared before the court for flagrant offenses on charges of offering or supplying drugs. He was apprehended following a tip-off about drug trafficking at the Tivaouane intersection.
According to the investigation, the defendant was arrested in possession of 27 ecstasy tablets. In court, however, Mr. Seck disputed this version, claiming he only had two tablets for his own use.
The gas station attendant explained that he had been told the tablets were a product to combat fatigue, and that he had bought them from a truck driver whose identity he said he did not know.
While acknowledging that he had taken ecstasy, he assured the court that he had definitively given up drugs, promising never to touch them again.
The public prosecutor, believing that the facts alleged against the defendant are established, requested the application of the law.
The case has been adjourned for deliberation.
