"There are encounters that leave a bigger mark than others... and ours is one of them," wrote the Senegalese goalkeeper, before reliving memories shared alongside Mendy.
“Édouard, I inevitably think back to all those moments we shared, and especially to that AFCON victory in Morocco. A dream come true, a page of history written together that I will never forget,” he continued.

"Seeing you turn this international page is definitely something, but you can be proud of everything you've done for our country," he added.
In conclusion, Mory Diaw delivered a message full of brotherhood: “Thank you for everything, brother. Proud to have shared a part of this story with you. Jerseys are put away, careers end… but the memories of a Lion remain forever.”
