The second matchday of the Champions League kicked off on Tuesday with several matches marked by surprises and remarkable performances. FC Barcelona, in particular, made a strong statement in Turkey, while Arsenal secured a commanding victory. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich were held to a draw in Norway.

League leaders FC Barcelona confirmed their good form with a resounding 4-1 victory away to Galatasaray, where Ismail Jakobs plays. The Senegalese left-back endured a difficult evening against a particularly inspired Lamine Yamal, who was involved in two of Barcelona's goals. Joao Cancelo (43rd minute), Fermin Lopez (50th minute), Anthony Gordon (53rd minute), and Karim Adeyemi (65th minute) scored for Barcelona. Batrakov had, however, opened the scoring for the Turkish side in the 28th minute.

At home, Pape Gueye's Villarreal also secured a crucial victory, defeating Napoli 3-1. Starting in midfield, the Senegalese midfielder contributed to his team's win, while his young compatriot Alassane Diatta remained on the bench.

On the road in Norway, Bayern Munich, with Bara Sapoko Ndiaye in the squad, were held to a 3-3 draw by Viking Stavanger in a spectacular match. The young Senegalese midfielder watched the game from the substitutes' bench.

In Italy, Club Brugge, with Mamadou Diakhon also remaining on the bench, caused an upset by defeating Inter Milan 4-3. Nicolo Tresoldi shone, scoring a hat-trick in the 30th and 74th minutes, as well as a penalty in the 63rd. Romeo Vermant scored Belgium's fourth goal in the 87th minute.

At the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal dominated Lille (3-0). The Gunners made the difference thanks to goals from Eberechi Eze (63rd minute), Jurrien Timber (64th minute) and Bukayo Saka (71st minute), confirming their solidity in front of their home crowd.

At the Bollaert stadium, RC Lens, without the injured Abdallah Sima, were surprised by Sporting Lisbon (0-2). In Azerbaijan, Sabah produced one of the standout performances of the evening, defeating Slavia Prague (2-0) and securing their first victory in the competition.

In one of the day's big matches, Atlético de Madrid got the better of Manchester United (2-0).

Finally, at the Red Bull Arena, RB Leipzig snatched a narrow victory against PSV Eindhoven (1-0).
