Match retour Coupe CAF : mission impossible pour Diambars ?
Diambars de Saly hosts Espérance Sportive de Zarzis this Saturday in the second leg of the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup. Having lost the first leg in Tunisia (3-1), the Academicians must win by at least two goals, without conceding, to have any hope of qualifying for the second round.
The task ahead looks particularly difficult for the young Diambars players, who had made a good start in the first leg before conceding in the second half. Against a solid Tunisian team, the Senegalese will need to be much more efficient and composed this time around.
For this second leg, the Academy players will be able to count on a squad largely composed of young players, several of whom are still experiencing African competition for the first time. Despite the magnitude of the challenge, Diambars believes in its chances and will try to turn the tide in front of its home crowd.
