Déballage : le ministère des Sports ordonne à la FSF de mettre fin à toute communication publique
The Ministry of Youth and Sports has taken a firmer stance following Senegal's participation in the World Cup. In a statement released on Tuesday, July 14, it ordered the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) to immediately cease all statements, interventions, and media appearances related to the competition.
This decision, according to the document, aims to put an end to the controversies that have multiplied in recent days surrounding the Lions' performance. The authorities believe that these debates "seriously damage the image and reputation" of Senegal on the international stage.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports also affirms that the State will "take full responsibility" to shed light on this participation. An official assessment, described as "comprehensive and rigorous," will be conducted in accordance with applicable procedures.
Pending the conclusions of this assessment, the ministry calls on all stakeholders to exercise restraint and responsibility. It also urges respect for human dignity, the institutions of the Republic, and the principles of the rule of law, in a context marked by strong reactions following the Lions' World Cup campaign.
