Le Mali et la Côte d’Ivoire adoptent le tracé définitif de leur frontière commune
Malian and Ivorian experts from the Joint Technical Commission for the Demarcation of the Côte d'Ivoire-Mali Border held a meeting from August 21 to 25, 2026, in Bamako. This meeting provided an opportunity to review the results of the joint technical reconnaissance mission carried out from April 12 to 19 in the Pogo-Zégoua area, and to reach a consensus on the final border demarcation between the two countries.
The experts also took advantage of these 5 days of technical exchanges to validate the preliminary draft of the Treaty on the delimitation of the common border and the basic framework diagram to serve as a reference for the next demarcation operations and installation of border markers.
This technical infrastructure is essential in the realization of the route adopted by the two neighboring countries.
