Niger's Minister of National Defence, General Salifou Modi, is on a working visit to Algiers. He was yesterday, Wednesday, October 21, at the headquarters of the People's National Army (ANP).

He added that the Algerian People's National Army (ANP) was fully prepared to "consider any Nigerien proposal aimed at strengthening military and security cooperation in service of the supreme interests of the two brotherly nations, in line with the firm commitment of Presidents" Tebboune and Tiani.

The Nigerien Minister of Defence, for his part, "welcomed the level of multidimensional coordination between the armies of the two brotherly countries".

At the end of the meeting, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on military cooperation. On the same day, Wednesday, Minister Modi and his delegation were received by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. No details of the discussions between the veteran leader and his guests were released.
