The story is making the rounds on social media in Nigeria. A heartbroken man recounts how he discovered his wife's infidelity; she used the pretext of attending prayer programs to meet her wealthy lover.

The account was shared on Facebook by Obongawan Janet Afia. This story reveals a series of deceptions and the unexpected role of a motorcycle taxi driver at the heart of the drama. According to the account, it all began with a small detail: his wife changed his phone's passcode.

"When I noticed that my wife had a new password, I didn't ask her why. I didn't want to appear insecure in our marriage," he confides.

The man admits that he feared his wife would follow in the footsteps of her mother, whom he describes as an unfaithful woman, even though his wife was very close to her.

One evening, his wife announced that she was going to a church service and refused to let him drop her off. She left their 3-year-old child at home and got on a motorcycle taxi.

Growing worried, the husband called out to the driver: "You're too precious to be on a motorcycle. Why don't you wait for me to drop you off?"

The woman insists. The husband then jokingly asks his wife for the driver's number "in case something happens." He gets it.

An hour later, he called the motorcyclist to ask if he had dropped his wife off. The driver was evasive, then contacted him again later to offer his services.

The husband's suspicions grow. At night, he catches her typing and deleting messages. Arguments erupt. He accuses her of cheating on him. She cries and denies it, demanding proof.

Determined to get to the bottom of things, he contacted the same driver again and asked him to take him to the exact spot where he had dropped his wife off. The driver took him to what looked like a prayer house, and there he felt reassured that his wife had indeed attended a prayer session.

He pays 5,000 naira and goes home. But a few days later, he notices that it's the same driver bringing his wife back from another place, without her having told him.

It was a neighbor who finally opened his eyes. According to the neighbor, his wife was having an affair with a "big man," a wealthy man, and the motorcycle driver was working for him.

"In my street, someone told me that my wife was dating a tall gentleman and that a certain driver worked for this tall gentleman. It turns out that it's the same driver," he says.

He is even advised to give up, as his life could be in danger.

Despite the threats, the neighbor agrees to help him. He gives him a specific place and time where he can see his wife with the rich man.

The man goes there and catches them together, just before they reach their destination.

"She couldn't deny it. They wouldn't let me near the man. His men led him to his car and I was almost pushed to the ground. My wife was put into another car and before I got home, she was already there. She still denied it."

The marital crisis ultimately led to divorce. The man claims he learned that his ex-wife was taken out of the country by the wealthy man.

Bitterly, he concluded: "Good for her. Even if she becomes the president's wife today, she will never have peace of mind or any relationship with my children."
