Un pasteur nigérian affirme avoir rencontré Jésus face-à-face sur une plage en Tanzanie
A famous Nigerian pastor has sparked a major controversy after claiming that Jesus appeared to him on a beach and asked for a financial transaction in exchange for miraculous gifts.
This is a statement that will continue to generate discussion and ignite social media. Nigerian pastor Arome Osayi finds himself at the center of a heated controversy after the release of a video in which he recounts an alleged supernatural encounter with Jesus Christ.
During a passionate sermon, the pastor recounted what he described as an extraordinary "spiritual experience" that occurred before one of his sermons. According to him, the event took place by the sea, far from his congregation.
"I met Jesus on a beach in Tanzania. Jesus came and stood beside me, and I asked him to give me the power to raise the dead and to cure autism. Jesus then told me to send 5 million naira to a pastor in exchange for these powers," he stated bluntly to his audience.
The very idea that Christ would demand a sum of money—in this case, 5 million naira—paid to a third party to "buy" the anointing and miraculous powers has plunged many believers and internet users into deep perplexity. For many, this financial transaction seems more like an earthly deal than a divine grace.
But the story doesn't end there. Apostle Arome Osayi maintains that the very next Sunday, after he carried out the instructions, divine power manifested itself spectacularly during his preaching.
"During my next sermon, on a Sunday evening, an angel touched my head; after that, five people started walking," he adds to support the veracity of his acquired powers.
On social media, the video quickly went viral, triggering a flood of reactions. While some fervent admirers defended the freedom of spiritual expression, the majority of internet users condemned the remarks as abusive and commercial. Many questioned the excesses of the "prosperity gospel" and the commodification of faith in West Africa. A divine revelation or a disguised business?
