The DER/FJ delegation, led by the General Delegate, Dr. Abdoulaye Niane, facilitated discussions with local stakeholders on their needs and the conditions for accessing financing.
The meeting, held on Friday, October 23, 2026, in front of the DER/FJ branch office, brought together the administrative, religious, and traditional authorities of the department. The deputy prefect of Linguère, Ali Baydi Kane, praised the DER/FJ's "inclusive and participatory" approach: "I commend the fact that DER/FJ officials are going into the field to directly gather the concerns of the people, rather than limiting themselves to information transmitted from Dakar."

The representative of the administrative authority also invited the beneficiaries to work efficiently with the funds received in order to eventually be able to repay the loan on time, which will allow others to benefit.
Actors in the agriculture and livestock sectors mentioned their past difficulties related to access to financial resources.

“Obtaining credit from local financial institutions was extremely difficult. But thanks to the DER/FJ, we can consider that this will soon be a thing of the past, because we will have the funds that will allow us to relaunch our activities,” said Fatou Cobar, president of the umbrella organization.
“We gladly welcome the funding granted to the groups, which represents a lever to support local economic initiatives,” said Bouna Seck, Director of Living Environment and political leader in Linguère.

Speaking at the event, the Director General of DER/FJ, Dr. Abdoulaye Niane, urged the beneficiaries to manage the resources made available to them responsibly. "In a month, the beneficiaries will receive their money and will be able to start their activities. But I urge them to use these funds efficiently to empower themselves and to have the means to live in decent conditions."

The DER/FJ's national awareness, enrollment, and funding distribution tour concluded this Friday in Linguère. According to the Director General, Dr. Abdoulaye Niane, across the nine targeted departments, the DER/FJ allocated a total of 1,423,394,200 FCFA in funding, reaching 12,100 beneficiaries.
