Linguère FabLab officially launches the training courses of the "D-CLIC: Train in digital skills with the OIF" project in Senegal

Linguère FabLab lance officiellement les formations du projet « D-CLIC : Formez-vous au numérique avec l'OIF » au Sénégal

On Thursday, July 2, 2026 , Linguère FabLab organized the official launch ceremony for the "D-CLIC: Train in digital skills with the OIF" project, marking an important step in strengthening digital skills and the professional integration of young people in Senegal.

Designed, initiated and led by the International Organisation of the Francophonie (OIF) within the framework of the Digital Francophonie Strategy 2022-2026, the D-CLIC project aims to strengthen the digital skills of young people and women in order to promote their employability, their sustainable professional integration and their capacity to undertake.

In Senegal, Linguère FabLab was selected as the local operator to implement the project. In this capacity, Linguère FabLab will support 150 young people , divided into five training programs of 30 participants each:

  1. Visual creation and digital environment;
  2. Digital textile printing and embroidery;
  3. Craftsmanship and digital design;
  4. Management of digital manufacturing workshops;
  5. 3D design and printing.

The training programs are based on a decidedly practical pedagogical approach, combining theoretical instruction, hands-on work using professional digital fabrication equipment, final projects, and workshops for developing transferable skills (soft skills). Participants will also benefit from support in their professional integration and entrepreneurship to facilitate their entry into the job market.

The ceremony took place in the presence of administrative authorities, institutional partners, stakeholders in the digital ecosystem, the media, and the 150 beneficiaries of the project. It provided an opportunity to present the program's objectives, the training pathways offered, and the prospects this initiative offers for Senegalese youth.

On this occasion, Anta NGOM , Director of Linguère FabLab, stated:

“Being selected by the International Organisation of the Francophonie as the local implementing partner for the D-CLIC project in Senegal is both an honor and a responsibility. Through this program, we have the opportunity to train and support 150 young people towards digital careers by providing them with technical skills, practical experience, and support towards employment and entrepreneurship. We are convinced that developing digital skills is a key lever for strengthening youth employability, stimulating innovation, and contributing to the economic development of our country.”

After the official ceremony, it's time for the tour!
