MÉTÉO : De violents orages traversent le Sénégal d’est en ouest depuis ce matin
The country is under meteorological surveillance this Monday morning with the passage of a major storm system crossing the territory from east to west.
According to the latest observations, active storm cells were recorded in Matam, Ranérou, Bakel, and Kédougou early this morning. These cloud masses are gradually moving westward and now affect Podor, Linguère, Tambacounda, Diourbel, and Kaffrine.
By late morning and evening, the alert has been extended to a large part of the country. Louga, Thiès, Fatick, Kaolack, Dakar, Saint-Louis and the Casamance region will be progressively affected by rainfall.
The weather service is urging caution, particularly due to strong gusts of wind preceding the arrival of rain.
