Bagarre conjugale à Diourbel : Un tapissier retrouvé mort pendu, son épouse hospitalisée
The Sessène neighborhood of Diourbel is in mourning following a domestic dispute. AM, an upholsterer of approximately 26 years old, better known as Youssou, was found hanged. Injuries were found on his body, particularly to his neck. His wife is hospitalized at the Diourbel Regional Hospital where she is receiving treatment.
The incident occurred last night. According to the hospitalized woman, it was her husband who attacked her first during their argument.
Alerted to the tragedy, officers from the Diourbel central police station's urban security unit went to the scene to conduct the standard investigation. The police noted several unanswered questions in the case, and the suicide theory, put forward by some, was not favored by the judicial authorities.
Indeed, the injuries found on Youssou's body intrigued investigators. The one discovered on his neck could have been caused by an object. Therefore, the theory of a staged murder has not been ruled out, according to information gathered by Seneweb.
In accordance with the instructions of Prosecutor Amary Faye, head of the Diourbel prosecutor's office, a request will be made for an autopsy to determine the exact circumstances of the death. The body will likely be transferred to Dakar tomorrow, Tuesday.
