Boulanger le jour, dealer la nuit : C. Sy interpellé avec du chanvre indien à Yeumbeul Sud
On Thursday, May 21, 2026, around 8 p.m., during a routine patrol in their area of responsibility, members of the research brigade spotted an individual they were actively tracking, known as a notorious dealer of Indian hemp.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, they followed him to a house where he was caught in possession of a white bucket containing 52 cones of Indian hemp and plastic packaging bags.
He was immediately apprehended and subjected to a security pat-down; investigators found on him the sum of 2,000 CFA francs as well as a Tecno mobile phone, presumably used to communicate with his clients.
Taken to the police station, the individual gave his identity: C. Sy, 45 years old, baker residing in Yeumbeul Sud according to Seneweb sources.
When questioned, he admitted to being the owner of the seized drugs and stated that he had acquired them from Malika for the purposes of his trafficking, while refusing to reveal the identity of his supplier.
The drugs and other seized items have been placed under seal. Prosecutor Saliou Dicko has been informed and the legal proceedings are underway.
