Kaolack : le corps sans vie d’un adolescent d’environ 13 ans découvert sur la plage du pont Noirot
On November 1, 2026, at approximately 6:00 PM, the Kaolack Central Police Station was informed of the discovery of a body on the Noirot Bridge beach. Police officers immediately went to the scene to carry out the standard procedures.
At the scene, investigators discovered the body of a male, approximately 13 years old, lying on his back on the ground. The victim is believed to have drowned.
No documents identifying the deceased were found at the scene. Neighborhood inquiries also failed to yield any useful information about his identity.
In the absence of family members, members of the National Fire Brigade conducted a thorough search of the body. This revealed no items of interest to the investigation.
Following the investigation, the firefighters took charge of the body before transporting it to the morgue of the El Hadji Ibrahima Niass regional hospital in Kaolack, based on a requisition addressed to the director of the establishment.
An investigation has been opened to determine the exact circumstances of the death and to identify the deceased. The public prosecutor has been notified.
