Ndiaganiao : un jeune berger profite de la nuit du « Laylatoul Qadr » pour violer une fillette de moins de 4 ans
A sex scandal has rocked the village of Ndame, located 7 kilometers from the town of Ndiaganiao. A four-and-a-half-year-old girl was allegedly sexually abused by a young shepherd named Gilbert Diouf (16 years old). The events took place on the night of March 16, 2026, coinciding with the celebration of Laylatul Qadr (the Night of Power).
The alleged rapist reportedly took advantage of the victim's mother's absence to enter the room where little D. Ndong was sleeping. A few minutes later, the mother, Coumba Tine, returned to her room to check on her daughter.
Upon her arrival, she reportedly caught Gilbert Diouf in the act of having sex with her young daughter, who was lying on the bed. Panicked, the woman cried for help. The accused then fled to the public toilets on the family property. The victim's mother immediately informed Gilbert Diouf's father before transporting her daughter in a cart to the Guélor health post.
After examination, the victim was transferred to the Thiadiaye health district, where she was issued a medical certificate attesting to recent sexual intercourse. Armed with this document, Coumba Tine filed a complaint against Gilbert Diouf for sexually abusing her daughter.
Arrested and questioned about the alleged events, the accused categorically denies the accusations against him. However, he admits to having gone to the victim's mother's room that night to watch television. He maintains that Coumba Tine found him removing thorns from his trousers and claims he only went to the bathroom to urinate.
The accused was brought before the prosecutor in Mbour yesterday, Thursday, March 19, for the rape of a minor under five years of age.
