Coupe du monde : La police libyenne arrête des supporters argentins et leur rase la tête de force
This week, tensions reached a boiling point in the streets of Ajdabiya, Libya, when local police apprehended a group of Argentine fans following rowdy celebrations that degenerated into public disorder.
According to the Libya Observer, the group had taken to the streets to celebrate Argentina's qualification for the ongoing World Cup and Egypt's simultaneous elimination from the tournament.
According to law enforcement, the euphoria quickly degenerated into clashes when Argentine supporters clashed with a group of Egyptian supporters who were also present in the area.
Authorities intervened to disperse the crowd, citing significant disruption to local traffic and a breach of public order.

Following their arrest, the police proceeded, in a controversial move, to shave the heads of the detainees.

Authorities said the punitive measure was taken in response to the group's disruptive behavior and what they described as fiery pro-Argentine demonstrations directed against Egypt.
