Torrential rains and major landslides have struck the Himalayan region, triggering devastating floods in Nepal and Tibet.
In the mountainous district of Rasuwa, Nepal, rescuers are in a real race against time to try to extract more than a hundred workers still trapped inside a tunnel on the construction site of a hydroelectric dam.
The Nepalese army, which was urgently deployed to the field, has already managed to evacuate 350 people from the disaster area, reports France 24.
Across the region, the human toll has reached dramatic proportions, with more than 538 deaths recorded and approximately 1,400 people still missing.
