The goal of the Netanyahu government is to "erase Palestine from humanity's agenda" (Erdogan)

Le but du gouvernement Netanyahu est de "rayer la Palestine de l'ordre du jour de l'humanité" (Erdogan)

Israel seeks to "erase Palestine from humanity's agenda," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Wednesday during a joint press conference with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who was visiting Ankara.

"It is clear that the Netanyahu government seeks to erase Palestine from humanity's agenda by taking advantage of the chaos and new conflicts in the region. Whatever it does, it will not succeed," the Turkish head of state asserted.

"The Palestinian cause will continue to gain importance in the hearts of the people, despite their efforts to destroy it. Turkey will continue to defend the Palestinian cause with the utmost firmness and on all platforms," he continued.

"Despite the constructive attitude of our Palestinian brothers and sisters, the current Israeli administration persists in its aggressive behavior," the Turkish president added.

"A just peace can only be achieved by ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital," Mahmoud Abbas stated.

"We support international efforts to implement Resolution 2803 in a way that guarantees an end to the war, the restoration of Palestinian legitimacy in Gaza and the transition to a political process, while reaffirming that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the State of Palestine," he added.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a staunch supporter of the Palestinian cause, regularly accuses Israel of perpetrating genocide in the Gaza Strip, which he denies.
