Le Koweït et Bahreïn font face à de nouvelles attaques iraniennes
Kuwait and Bahrain suffered further attacks from Iran on Monday, carried out in retaliation for new US strikes on the country for the ninth consecutive night.
The Bahraini army announced that it had "intercepted" air attacks and denounced in a statement on X Iran's "systematic hostile policy" and "criminal attacks".
Air raid sirens sounded across the kingdom, home to the US Fifth Fleet, and explosions were heard by AFP journalists on the scene.
Kuwait also repelled further attacks by "hostile drones following Iranian aggression," after the Islamic Republic's Revolutionary Guard Corps, the ideological army of the Islamic Republic, announced it was targeting military sites in the Gulf country.
With the resumption of hostilities between Washington and Tehran on July 7, the bombings reached an unprecedented level and broke the ceasefire agreed in April between the two belligerents as well as the memorandum of understanding of June 17.
The United States is intensifying its strikes on Iran, which is retaliating by striking Washington's allies in the region.
Kuwait and Bahrain, both of which host US military installations, were the primary targets of these attacks.
Bahrain accused Iran of targeting civilians, while Kuwait reported Iranian attacks on water and electricity supply facilities, as well as oil installations.
