L’horreur à Nice: il tue son fils de 17 ans et envoie la photo à son ex-épouse
The particularly gruesome events took place on Monday, August 3rd, in Nice, on the French Riviera in southeastern France. A man killed his 17-year-old son before sending a photo of his body to his ex-wife, the teenager's mother.
It was the victim's mother who alerted the police on Monday afternoon. She had just received a photo from her ex-partner of her son's body, lying in a body bag. The RAID, a specialized intervention unit, quickly arrived at the scene to arrest the suspected perpetrator, who was holed up in his home in the Madeleine district (see video below). The man then attempted suicide by slitting his throat upon the arrival of the police.
At the scene, they discovered the body of his 17-year-old son, “likely to have died by strangulation,” according to the local prosecutor's office, although the cause of death will need to be confirmed by an autopsy. The father, who also had several stab wounds, was rushed to Pasteur Hospital in Nice, but his condition is no longer life-threatening, reports France 3 Côte d'Azur. The circumstances surrounding the case are not yet known. An investigation has been opened for voluntary homicide.
