Un avion militaire américain vole vers Moscou, selon le site Flightradar24
A US military plane took off from Latvia bound for Moscow's Vnukovo airport on Tuesday, according to data from the specialist website Flightradar24, although the Kremlin said it was unable to confirm it.
According to data from this flight tracking site, the aircraft first flew on Sunday from Andrews Air Force Base, located near Washington and used for travel by senior officials, to Riga, the capital of Latvia.
The aircraft's latest location on Flightradar24 places it very close to Vnukovo Airport, but its landing is not confirmed on the site.
When questioned during his daily press briefing, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov replied that he "did not have that information".
AFP is unable to verify this flight.
This type of device can be used, in particular, for diplomatic trips.
The possibility of a trip to Russia by American envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner has been mentioned several times in recent weeks, without a date being confirmed.
Dmitri Peskov stated on Tuesday that no meetings at the Kremlin with representatives of the American administration were planned for this week.
Military aircraft can also be used for prisoner exchanges.
Russia and the United States have carried out several exchanges in the past, but Washington still demands the return of several of its nationals detained in the country.
