Yémen: frappes saoudiennes meurtrières à Sanaa, capitale aux mains des Houthis (média du mouvement)
The Iranian-backed Houthis of Yemen reported on Saturday Saudi strikes on Sanaa and the capital region they control, which left at least four dead and several wounded, as well as about twenty strikes on the coastal city of Mokha.
Their television channel Al-Masirah reported "a series of strikes by the Saudi enemy targeting the capital Sanaa", and "about twenty strikes on Mokha since this morning".
In addition to four deaths in Sanaa in a strike on a house, it reported "several dead and wounded" in a strike on a cement factory in the Hamdan district of Sanaa province.
These strikes come as the Saudi-led military coalition announced it had intercepted three missiles fired by the Houthis since Saturday morning, heading towards Riyadh, as well as Taif and Yanbu, in the west of the kingdom.
Earlier, Saudi Civil Defense had issued alerts, quickly lifted, indicating a "potential risk" in four regions in the west of the country, including Taif, Yanbu and Mecca, home to Islam's holiest site.
Riyadh leads a military coalition that intervened in support of the Yemeni government in 2015. The war devastated Yemen, one of the poorest countries in the world, and caused a major humanitarian crisis.
After a lull linked to the ceasefire concluded in 2022, fighting resumed in July, amidst a regional conflagration.
