Affaire de viol présumé : Achraf Hakimi sort du silence et attend son procès
The Paris Saint-Germain defender reacted on Friday with a message posted on his social media. The Moroccan international, who has contested the accusations against him since the beginning of the case, expressed his incomprehension at the situation and denounced the consequences of this procedure on his personal life.
"The justice system looked me in the eyes and said, 'If you weren't famous, there would never have been a case,'" the 27-year-old player wrote.
Having remained silent in the media since the investigation began, Hakimi claims he chose silence out of trust in the judicial system. "I chose to remain silent for years. I thought that remaining dignified, being patient, and trusting in justice would allow the right decisions to be made," he continued, believing that a story that is "not his" is being told to the detriment of his family and the truth.
The Parisian full-back also claims to sometimes feel that he has become "an easy target" because of his notoriety.
With the trial now looming, the player is showing his determination to defend his version of events. "I've been waiting for this trial since day one. And now I'm really looking forward to it. Finally, I'll be able to speak," the Moroccan concluded.
This judicial decision marks a new stage in this case, while Achraf Hakimi continues to proclaim his innocence pending his trial.
The captain of the Atlas Lions is currently in the United States with his national team for the 2026 World Cup.
