Ndèye Seynabou Ndiaye "Woodrose" — affaire des 125 milliards
In a new twist in the 125 billion FCFA scandal uncovered by a report from Senegal's National Financial Intelligence Unit (CENTIF), Ndèye Seynabou Ndiaye, the statutory manager of the Woodrose company linked to Amadou Sall, son of former President Macky Sall, has been granted provisional release under judicial supervision. According to Seneweb, the release was ordered by the Financial Indictment Chamber in a ruling dated April 13, 2026, following a review of her case file.
Indicted in the case involving the mayor of the Agnams, Mouhamadou Ngom, also known as Farba, Ndèye Seynabou Ndiaye faces charges of criminal conspiracy within an organized gang, corporate asset misuse, money laundering, and complicity in public funds fraud, amounting to an estimated 31 billion FCFA.
On November 6, 2026, the Supreme Court overturned and annulled ruling No. 61 from August 6, 2025, by the Financial Indictment Chamber, which had denied the electronic monitoring bracelet requested by her lawyers, Me Souleymane Soumaré and Me Seydou Diagne. The Supreme Court then referred the case back to the Financial Indictment Chamber, instructing it to seek a ruling from the Constitutional Council on a motion of unconstitutionality and to suspend proceedings until the Council's decision.
Subsequently, the Financial Indictment Chamber issued a ruling on February 12 to comply with the Supreme Court's decision. On March 17, 2026, the Constitutional Council, in its decision N1/C2026, declared the defense's unconstitutionality motion admissible. It then ordered the lifting of the procedural suspension that had been imposed following the Supreme Court's ruling.
After Monday's hearings before the Financial Indictment Chamber, Ndèye Seynabou Ndiaye was granted provisional release. With the public prosecutor's office not filing an appeal to the Supreme Court, she was released from prison in the early evening.
At this stage of the investigation into the 125 billion FCFA case, Farba Ngom remains the sole defendant still in custody. Several of his co-defendants, including businessman Tahirou Sarr, Abdou Karim Mbacké, and Ibrahima Ba, son of former Prime Minister Amadou Ba, have also been granted provisional release under judicial supervision.
Farba Ngom remains in detention due to an appeal to the Supreme Court filed by the Prosecutor General against the Financial Indictment Chamber's initial ruling granting him judicial supervision. The case is now pending review by the Supreme Court.
