Affaire Pape Cheikh Diallo : Le médecin du CNTS, Serigne Mourtalla Guèye, entendu par le juge d'instruction
Extracted from his cell this Wednesday, July 1st, Serigne Mourtalla Guèye, a clinical hematologist and blood transfusion specialist working at the National Blood Transfusion Center (CNTS), was brought before the investigating judge of the 1st chamber near the Pikine-Guédiawaye High Court.
According to Seneweb sources, this alleged lover of Pape Cheikh Diallo has already been questioned on the merits by the senior judge.
As a reminder, the suspect was arrested on April 2nd at Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD) in Diass. Upon learning the reasons for his arrest, the doctor attempted suicide by inhaling a large quantity of a substance believed to contain drugs. He lost consciousness immediately and was subsequently admitted to intensive care.
At the conclusion of the investigation by the Keur Massar Criminal Investigation Brigade, Dr. Serigne Mourtalla Guèye was formally charged by the investigating judge of the first chamber. The charge of intentionally transmitting HIV was not among those brought against him.
After the arrest of Pape Cheikh Diallo and eleven other suspected homosexuals, Prosecutor Saliou Dicko, head of the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office, had requested the opening of a judicial investigation.
