Chambre criminelle de Pikine-Guédiawaye : 123 plaquettes de haschisch, 20 ans requis contre une commerçante et sa bande
An apartment in Keur Massar. Information about a hashish trafficking network. And 123 slabs of cannabis resin that were transported between Morocco and Senegal. This Tuesday, November 3rd, businesswoman A. Diémé and several co-defendants appeared before the Pikine-Guédiawaye criminal court. They are being prosecuted for drug trafficking. The group faces up to 20 years in prison.
According to the indictment, it all began with information acted upon by officers of the Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS). On March 26, 2026, police raided A. Diémé's apartment in Keur Massar. A search of the premises yielded 29 slabs and a ball of hashish. Her phone then became the key piece of evidence in the investigation. Phone records led investigators to several individuals suspected of associating with the businesswoman.
When questioned by investigators, A. Diémé gave her version of events. She stated that upon her return from Morocco, she discovered five slabs of hashish hidden in a taco machine. The package had allegedly been placed in her luggage without her knowledge by a certain "VIP," described as a trafficker based in Morocco. He then informed her that an emissary would come to collect the merchandise.
But the shopkeeper admits to having given four tablets to the representative of her alleged supplier and sold the fifth for 200,000 FCFA. She also mentions a delivery of 123 tablets from her main supplier. Part of the merchandise was allegedly entrusted to A. War for distribution. S. Seydi is said to have handled the deliveries.
The investigation also focuses on the exchanges between A. Diémé and her contacts. A. War, who presents himself as a simple consumer, is confronted with audio recordings in which the shopkeeper encouraged him to sell the merchandise. Y. Diaw, for his part, is suspected of having offered his assistance in soliciting customers.
All those implicated deny the accusations or claim to be consumers. Mr. Kourouma, for his part, admits to having possessed two grams of hashish intended for his personal use.
In his order of September 28, 2026, the judge of the first investigating chamber of Pikine-Guédiawaye issued a partial dismissal in favor of several defendants. A. Manga, A. Mar Faye, B. Ba, Th. Sall, and A. Faye thus escaped prosecution for criminal conspiracy and domestic drug trafficking.
However, A. Diémé, A. War, and S. Seydi were referred to the criminal court for conspiracy and domestic drug trafficking. Y. Diaw is being prosecuted for conspiracy. M. Kourouma, for his part, is being prosecuted for possession of drugs for personal use.
On Tuesday, in court, the defendants contested the charges against them. Believing the facts to be established, the public prosecutor requested a 20-year prison sentence. The defense, represented by lawyers El Hadji Diouf, Sayba Danfakha, Takha Cissé, Abdou Aziz Diop, Abdoulaye Sène, and Omar Kassé, pleaded for acquittal.
The case has been adjourned for deliberation until December 1st.
