Thiès : Un sexagénaire condamné à 10 ans de prison pour avoir abusé d'une fillette de 12 ans
I. Thioune, a married man in his sixties, now knows his fate. Prosecuted for pedophilia and abduction of a minor, he was found guilty and sentenced to 10 years in prison by the criminal chamber of the Thiès High Court. He was accused of sexually abusing O. Talla, a 12-year-old girl at the time of the events, which occurred in June 2023 in Thiès.
In court, the defendant denied the facts, claiming that these accusations were false and accusing A. Diop of having orchestrated the whole affair.
The victim, O. Talla, recounted that she was on her way to the shop when the accused intercepted her and invited her to his room. She maintained that once there, I. Thioune jumped on her, pulled her pants down to her knees, and then inserted his finger into her vagina.
Witness A. Diop, for his part, stated that he had surprised the accused and the young girl in a delicate situation.
The public prosecutor argued that, without the intervention of witness A. Diop, the defendant would have continued his actions, having already undressed the victim. He concluded that I. Thioune was guilty of pedophilia and abduction of a minor and requested a sentence of 10 years' imprisonment, a sentence ultimately upheld by the court.
