According to the short-term forecast of the National Agency for Civil Aviation and Meteorology (ANACIM), valid from October 17, 2026 at 12 p.m. to October 18 at 12 p.m., southern Senegal will experience cloudy passages likely to generate light rain accompanied by thunderstorms.
During the afternoon and night, the towns of Kolda, Ziguinchor, and Cap-Skirring are affected. This rain could gradually spread towards the Saloum Islands.
From Dakar to Saint-Louis, the sky will be partly cloudy in the evening and at night. Over the rest of the country, the weather will be sunny to partly cloudy throughout the period.
The heat will be intense across the country, with maximum temperatures between 32 and 40°C. Visibility will be good everywhere. Winds will be from the north, light to moderate.
