LFR 2026 : Cheikh Issa Sall met les députés de PASTEF de Mbour face à leurs responsabilités
The rejection of the 2026 supplementary budget bill continues to send shockwaves through the political and social landscape. This time, it is the mayor of Mbour, Cheikh Issa Sall, who has taken a stand to directly address the PASTEF party members of parliament elected in the department. The mayor of the capital of the Petite Côte region is deeply concerned about the direct repercussions of this parliamentary deadlock on several key projects in his municipality, particularly in the areas of health, education, justice, employment, and civil protection.
In an official statement published on his Facebook page, Cheikh Issa Sall strongly criticized the outgoing majority parliamentarians from his constituency.
“The rejection of the Amending Finance Law (LFR) 2026 by the PASTEF deputies raises serious concerns about the future of several essential projects for our community: the construction of a level 3 hospital, the rehabilitation of the Demba Diop high school, the construction of a new Palace of Justice and a new court, the payment of social scholarships, the "Xëyu Ndaw Ñi" program for youth employment as well as the construction of a fire station.
"We are particularly appealing to the elected representatives in Mbour: have you considered the consequences of your position on the future of our municipality? You were elected by the people of Mbour and, as such, have a responsibility towards them," the mayor insisted.
Faced with these local emergencies, Cheikh Issa Sall demands that the parliamentarians from Mbour fully grasp the gravity and precise implications of their vote. He believes that their mandate as elected representatives of the people imposes upon them a duty of direct accountability to the people who entrusted them with their confidence in the National Assembly.
According to the city's chief magistrate, the citizens of Mbour have the right to demand accountability and obtain precise clarifications on the future of these basic infrastructures and on the negative repercussions that this blockage risks having on their daily lives.
“Crypto-political interests and personal ambitions must never take precedence over the concerns of citizens. The people have the right to demand explanations about the consequences of this rejection for their projects and their future. Mbour must not be sacrificed on the altar of crypto-political interests!” he concluded.

Mais au Sénégal où certains benêts refusent à l'assemblée ses pouvoirs, on essaie de monter des cornes à des grenouilles.
