‘’Recyclage’’ des anciens ministres à l’A.N. : « Un cabinet fictif qui va coûter au moins 200 millions aux contribuables »
"A parallel government" is the label some Senegalese are attaching to the office of the new president of the National Assembly, Ousmane Sonko. The former Prime Minister recently carried out a series of appointments of former ministers to his cabinet, which has become a haven for former members of the government.

Both scandalized and amused by what he calls "fictitious jobs," former parliamentarian Cheikhou Oumar Sy maintains that at "first glance," he thought "it was the ranking of the Moroccan team against France." "I was wondering: but where is the 11th player?" he quips, referring to the list of the new cabinet of the President of the National Assembly.
In reality, he adds in a tone that could not be more serious, "it is the fictitious cabinet of the PAN that will cost Senegalese taxpayers at least 200 million [CFA] per year."
“The revolution has its gentle realities,” he observes, before vehemently criticizing it. “Those who truly sacrificed themselves for the ‘Project’ will share 100 million FCFA. The ‘Project’ elite, on the other hand, must be protected and maintained for the greater good. I would also like to remind everyone that all these former ministers retain their salaries for six months,” adds Cheikhou Oumar Sy, shocked by the contradictory practices of the champions of systemic change.
"One term, a thousand reversals," he concluded.
