Two Guinean nationals were arrested at Lambaye Park for possession and trafficking of kush, attempted bribery of a public official, and illegal residency. According to Seneweb sources, they tried to bribe the police officers who came to arrest them.
These are MD BALDÉ, born in Conakry, aged twenty-two (22) years, a goods carrier and residing in Sips, and M. CONDÉ, born in Conakry, aged twenty-four (24) years, a scrap metal dealer by profession and residing in Pikine Texaco.
The two suspects were apprehended in Lambaye Park, inside an enclosure where they were repackaging drugs. The substance, identified as Kush and consisting of sixty-nine (69) képas, was hidden under a mattress.
The attempted bribery
At the time of their arrest, MD BALDÉ and M. CONDÉ offered a sum of 50,000 CFA francs to the police officers of the Dalifort district police station, in exchange for their release.
After brief questioning, the two suspects readily admitted to the charges against them. They were subsequently taken into custody for drug possession and trafficking, attempted bribery of a public official, and illegal residency.
Prosecutor Saliou Dicko has been informed of the facts, and the investigation is ongoing.
