Ben Tally : mystère autour de la mort d'une femme retrouvée dans son appartement
The Biscuiterie-HLM district police station was notified, in the night of September 26-27, 2026, around 3 a.m., of the discovery of the lifeless body of a woman at the Nguélaw market, in Ben Tally.
It was A. DIOP, an electrician and landlord, who came to the police station to report the discovery of the body of his tenant, B. CALLI.
According to information gathered, the victim, who had been unreachable, was found by Ms. F. AW, accompanied by her husband, A. KANE. They had gone to the apartment after the deceased's daughter, CH YALL, contacted Ms. F. AW to inquire about her mother. The victim's roommate, Mr. NGOM, reportedly opened the apartment door for them.
Alerted, firefighters from Dieuppeul and members of the Hygiene Department went to the scene to carry out the usual procedures. The victim's body was discovered on her bed, lying face down and covered with a loincloth. No apparent signs of violence were found on the body, but traces of blood were observed around the nostrils.
Testimonies gathered indicate that the victim frequently suffered from choking problems.
The body was removed by firefighters for an autopsy, in accordance with the request made to the relevant hospitals. The Public Prosecutor was notified, and an investigation was opened to determine the exact circumstances and cause of death.
