Contrôle routier à Tivaouane : Un chauffeur de « Ndiaga Ndiaye » poursuivi pour refus d'obtempérer
Mr. Diop, a driver of a public transport vehicle commonly known as a "Ndiaga Ndiaye," appeared before the Thiès court for flagrant offenses after refusing to present his documents to a police officer in Tivaouane during a traffic stop. He then confronted the officer, grabbed him, and attempted to assault him with the help of his assistants. Mr. Diop was subsequently arrested and remanded in custody.
In court, the defendant contested the charges against him. He maintained that he had indeed stopped during the check and that he had handed his documents to the police officer.
At the end of the proceedings, the prosecutor requested that the driver, Mr. Diop, be found guilty and asked that he be sentenced to one month in prison.
The court has taken the case under advisement.
