Course-poursuite à Bargny : les policiers saisissent un kilo de chanvre indien abandonné par des convoyeurs

On September 19, 2026, officers from the Special Brigade of the Bargny Police Station were conducting a motorcycle traffic control operation near the EDK station. During this operation, their attention was drawn to a green Jakarta-type motorcycle whose driver was weaving between vehicles.
Sensing the presence of the police, the driver suddenly made a U-turn. During this maneuver, he lost control of his vehicle.
After managing to restart his motorcycle, the driver immediately fled, accompanied by his passenger. Officers from the Special Brigade immediately gave chase on a motorcycle.
The two individuals continued their journey until they reached the Wakhandé canal. There, the presence of stagnant water forced them to abandon the motorcycle. They then continued their escape on foot, leaving behind the motorcycle and a bag.
The police searched the abandoned bag. This led to the discovery of one (01) kilogram of Indian hemp.
The Jakarta motorcycle and the narcotics were taken to the Bargny Police Station, where they were placed under seal for the purposes of the investigation. Prosecutor Cheikh Diakhoumpa, head of the Rufisque prosecutor's office, was informed of the facts.
