Drame aux Parcelles-Assainies : Un locataire retrouvé mort dans sa chambre
The lifeless body of a 62-year-old man, in an advanced state of decomposition, was discovered in his room in Unit 1 of Parcelles-Assainies on September 23, 2026, around 8 p.m. It was the foul odor that attracted the attention of his roommates.
It took the intervention of police officers from the Golf-Sud district police station, who opened the room, to discover the lifeless body of SBD. He lived alone in this room where he had settled for about two years.
Upon learning of the tragedy, his brother, PCID, a resident of Thiaroye, went to the scene. Dr. S. Sow, a forensic pathologist at Daal Jamm Hospital, conducted the standard examination and determined that the advanced state of decomposition of the body precluded an autopsy. The cause of death could therefore not be determined.
The hygiene department disinfected the room. On the instructions of prosecutor Saliou Dicko, the firefighters removed the body for burial.
